  Terragen Movies Minimize
Using programs such as CamPath and Terranim, you can create a series of images in Terragen which can then be assembled to create a movie. Click on the image to download and play each video. Most are QuickTime, a couple are MPEG.

Birth of a Continent

before      after

One of the more interesting features in Sean O'Malley's SOPack plugin allows for the creation of landscapes that morph. Here, I've used it to show a continent raising from the sea. The terrain map on the left is the before, the map on the right is the after.

Look Down

Look Down
Terragen v0.7
300x200   300 frames   15 fps   2.8 meg

CamPath map

Flying over a mountainous jungle, we see it looking almost straight down. The LookAt path in CamPath is nearly identical to the camera path, offset slightly because it gives a more interesting, almost 3D look to the landscape.

Not sure what it really is, but at places (noticable especially on the water) there is a grey spot on the surface. It almost looks like the shadow you would get from a plane flying over a real landscape. This was made before Terragen had the ability to show cloud reflections on water.

Tropical Sunset

Terragen v0.7
300x200   300 frames   15 fps   1.62 meg

This one shows the sun setting over a Pacific island's lagoon. Unfortunately, the haze I put in to simulate the humidity obscures some of the colors in the dense foliage, but that is more than made up for by the rays as the sun hits the mountain.

The following are in QuickTime and were created with Terragen v0.6. Click on the image to play them.
